The article presents the experience of organizing and conducting mathematical olympiads for students in grades 4–6 at Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University. The relevance of engaging younger schoolchildren in the olympiad movement is substantiated as an effective means of early identification of mathematically gifted children, fostering sustained motivation to study mathematics, and preparing students for further intellectual competitions. A collection of olympiad problems of various types (logical, combinatorial, motion problems, divisibility, and invariants) is presented, tailored to the age characteristics of students in grades 4–6, accompanied by detailed solutions and methodological comments. It is shown that the proposed problems admit multiple solution approaches and contribute to the development of mathematical thinking, ingenuity, and creativity among schoolchildren. The role of mathematical olympiads in popularizing mathematics, shaping a positive attitude toward the subject, and creating a foundation for students’ further educational and competitive achievements is emphasized
