Abstract

The features of the application of George Polya's algorithmic method during classes in a mathematics club dedicated to the study of elements of combinatorics and probability theory are studied. The emphasis is on Polya's algorithm as a universal means of structuring the process of solving problems and developing students' logical thinking. The advantages of a step-by-step approach to learning are considered, which include understanding the condition of the problem, drawing up a plan, implementing and analyzing the result obtained. Special attention is paid to the study of the emotional state of students during classes in the club using the projective technique "Tree", aimed at studying the level of motivation and adaptation of schoolchildren.
