Mathematics Without Borders: How “Bingo-Mehmat” United University and School

Abstract

The paper presents the experience of implementing the educational initiative “Bingo-Mehmat”, which took place from January to April 2025 with the participation of faculty members and students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The aim of the project was to popularize mathematics among school students in Kyiv, to acquaint them with contemporary directions of mathematical science, and to present the faculty’s educational programs. The authors emphasize the importance of direct dialogue between university and school, demonstrate the effectiveness of informal communication in career guidance, and outline prospects for further development of the initiative. The material may be useful to teachers, methodologists, science popularizers, and all those interested in building stronger connections between school and university mathematics education
